My Story
My name is Kristin Singer
I was always interested in understanding our human nature and completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Developmental Psychology and my Master’s Degree (ABT) in Research Psychology. My deep knowledge of Western-based psychology has given me a strong foundation upon which to understand the Eastern-based spirituality and philosophies to which I am so strongly drawn. I had a near death experience in 2008 that changed my life and led me down the path of understanding myself, human nature, and the depth of spiritual exploration.

In addition to teaching meditation and yoga, I am a IAYT certified Yoga Therapist, working with private clients on the journey of transformation and spiritual awakening. I am a certified Reiki Master, a certified Thai Yoga Bodyworker, and a certified Inner Yoga teacher. I am also a Spiritual Care volunteer and am on the Board of Directors of the Living Dying Project. That is a non-profit organization that pairs meditators with critically ill patients to assist them in having a conscious and spiritual death. I have a Masters in Developmental Psychology and Masters in Research Psychology.

My Approach
My style of teaching encourages the student to know and understand themselves. For me, it is not about how deeply you can access a pose physically, it is about how deeply you are willing to access yourself while in the pose. I inspire my students to work at their edge and be willing to open to the experience of yoga. I weave the concepts of both the Sutras and Buddhism into my classes and create a space for my students to quiet their minds in order to begin the journey of forgiving and falling in love with themselves.
I have been teaching slow flow yin and restorative yoga since 2014. I encourage my students to dive deep within themselves, giving each person the opportunity for profound inner listening. I inspire my students to become aware of their inner landscape and open to the experience of the present moment. In all of my classes you will practice cultivating ease, breathing freely, feeling your body, heart, and mind, and experiencing perfect harmony on all levels. The result is most often realized in increased awareness, a calmer state of being, clarity of mind, and an improved sense of patience.
